Drain Log
While helping my wife recover from surgery, I saw firsthand how stressful and tedious post-op surgical drain management could be. Between messy paper charts, inconsistent measurements, and tracking multiple Jackson-Pratt (JP) drains, I saw an opportunity to take out the guesswork and manual data entry.
I created Drain Log to make logging fast, accurate, and completely stress-free, making it super clear and easy for the surgeon and nurses to see fluid progression and evaluate clinical removal criteria (<30 mL/day).
The app supports tracking 1 to 6 drains, monitors fluid color progression (from sanguineous to serous), automatically calculates rolling 24-hour milestones, and exports clean, doctor-ready PDF charts directly from the device with 100% on-device privacy.
